Penny deals and dollar deals
A penny deal means you buy a qualifying product and add something else for $0.01. A dollar deal is the same idea at $1.00. Which one a deal uses comes down to the product – a single pre-roll might land at a penny, a 5-pack or a 1g cart is more likely to be a dollar.
Why a penny instead of free?
New York’s cannabis regulations don’t allow licensed dispensaries to give cannabis away or advertise anything as free. So instead of giving you a product, we sell it to you for the smallest amount we’re allowed to charge. Same value to you – it just has to be structured as a sale.
What “house choice” means
On most of these, your budtender picks the discounted item from whatever’s in the mix that day. If there’s something you’d rather not have, say so and we’ll work with you, but we can’t guarantee a specific pick. Deals that do let you choose will say so on their page.
Why your online total won’t show it
If you order ahead, the penny or dollar item usually won’t appear in your cart. That’s how the ordering system handles this kind of promotion – nothing went wrong. Your budtender adds it at pickup.
Put the deal name in your order notes. Two seconds, and nobody has to work it out at the window.

Our system fires one special per transaction, so you’ll get the better of two rather than both stacked. Want to use two different deals in one visit? Split them into two orders and your budtender will walk you through it.

Do I still earn points?
Yes – your qualifying purchase earns Be a Sashie points normally. The penny or dollar line earns what a penny or dollar line earns, which isn’t much. The points come from what you actually bought.
